The Course is funded in two different ways. The Government will not fund for the Access part anybody who is not 19 by August 31st 2009. If you just miss this date, please contact Mark Woolgar for advice
For 2009/10 we have managed to reduce the fees below those of the last 2 years. The standard fee for EU students for the Access Course (450 hours), which is subsidised, is £560 and for the rest of the course (450 hours) is £2,485 - making the standard EU fee for 900 hours £3,045.
For non-EU students the standard fees are, respectively, £3,710 and £3,610, (or £7,320 for 900 hours). EU students might qualify for concessions (see below), which in some cases could lead to a reduction of £450 on the Access fee.
A facility exists for fees to be paid in 5 instalments - one on enrolment and the other four in consecutive months following enrolment, direct from a bank account
To audition for the Course there is an Audition fee of £20
There may be the need to pay for scripts during the Course – which are obtained at a discount rate via a local bookshop.
If Theatre visits are arranged these are extra (and obviously at a Group rate). Eg in the current year there are trips to Peter Hall’s Shakespeare productions at the new Rose at Kingston Theatre, and to other theatres..
All cheques should be made payable to RACC (Richmond Adult Community College).
Some courses at the College are subsidised by Government grants, particularly those which hit Government targets. EU citizens who can prove that they are studying for their first Level 3 qualification (eg AS,A2, Access, BTEC) may be eligible for fee exemption, as are learners on income based benefits. For up-to-date information on help with fees, please contact our Advice and Guidance service direct (email info@racc.ac.uk telephone 020 8891 5907) as some details change from year to year.
It is possible to take just the Access Modules - which means attendance only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. For further information contact mark.woolgar@racc.ac.uk
